
- The following tools are required for this section of the guide:
- Allen key / hex wrenches in the following sizes: 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm & 4mm
- Cross slot / Phillips and Flat Head screwdrivers
- A pair of small cutters for removing cable-ties
- Before continuing the disassembly, make sure that:
- Filament has been unloaded from the hotend (or both hotends in the case of IDEX)
- The Z-axis has been lowered to give access to the underside of the toolhead
- This is required to remove the cable from the Beacon sensor
- All required printed parts have been printed and prepared
- The V-Core 4.1 upgrade kit is not supplied with the printed parts
- Line voltage (110V / 220V AC) has been disconnected
- Do not, under any circumstances, open the electronics enclosure whilst the V-Core 4 is connected to line voltage

- Remove the door panel assembly from the V-Core 4.0
- Remove the lid panel assembly from the V-Core 4.0
- Set both the door and lid panel assemblies somewhere safe until later in the upgrade guide, they will not be required for some time

- V-Core 4.0 right-hand side enclosure panel assembly
- Loosen all fifteen M6x12 Cap Head Screws to release the side panel assembly from the V-Core 4.0 frame
- It may take some slight wiggling of the M6x12 Cap Head Screws to allow the 3030 T-nuts to come free from the extrusion slots
- Remove the right-hand side enclosure panel assembly
- Set the right-hand side enclosure panel assembly somewhere safe until later in the upgrade guide, it will not be required for some time

- V-Core 4.0 left-hand side enclosure panel assembly
- Loosen all fifteen M6x12 Cap Head Screws to release the side panel assembly from the V-Core 4.0 frame
- It may take some slight wiggling of the M6x12 Cap Head Screws to allow the 3030 T-nuts to come free from the extrusion slots
- Remove the left-hand side enclosure panel assembly
- Set the left-hand side enclosure panel assembly somewhere safe until later in the upgrade guide, it will not be required for some time

- V-Core 4.0 Electronics Enclosure Lid Assembly
- Loosen and remove all four M3x6 Button Head Screws which secure the lid assembly to the enclosure
- Make sure that the lid assembly does not fall
- Disconnect the 120mm electronics enclosure fan from the Octopus mainboard
- Set the electronics enclosure lid assembly, and the four M3x6 Button Head Screws aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- Rat Rig V-Core 4.0 - Electronics AC Cover v1.0
- Loosen and remove all five M3x6 Button Head Screws which secure the AC cover to the electronics enclosure
- Set the electronics AC cover, and the five M3x6 Button Head Screws aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead Umbilical
- Using a pair of small cutters, remove all cable ties from both the toolhead and the frame umbilical mount
- Using a pair of small cutters, remove all cable ties from the umbilical wiring and remove the outer cable wrap (if installed)
- Loosen the M3 set screw in the umbilical guide
- Press the tab on the toolhead toolboard power connector to disengage the locking mechanism
- Disconnect the toolhead toolboard power connector as shown
- Disconnect the USB-A to USB-C cable from the toolhead toolboard

- PTFE Retaining Clip
- Gently pull the PTFE Retaining Clip from the fitting on the Orbiter Smart Sensor
- Please note: The PTFE Retaining Clip is small and easy to lose, be careful when removing it
- Press down on the top outer rim of the PTFE connector, it should depress slightly
- Whilst continuing to depress the PTFE connector, pull the PTFE bowden tube upwards. It should come free with very little force
- If the PTFE bowden tube does not come free easily, make sure you are fully depressing the outer rim on the PTFE connector. Do not force the PTFE bowden tube out of the connector as you can damage the PTFE, connector, or both
- Reinstall the PTFE Retaining Clip on to the Orbiter Smart Sensor as shown

- 4028 Part Cooling Fan Molex Connector
- Press the tab on the Molex connector to disengage the locking mechanism, then separate the Molex connectors, this will allow removal of the 4028 Part Cooling Fan extension wiring in the following steps
- Disconnect the 4028 Part Cooling Fan extension wiring from the toolhead toolboard
- On the underside of the toolhead, remove the two M3x6 Low Profile Cap Head Screws securing the Beacon sensor to the toolhead
- Remove the Beacon sensor from the toolhead
- Press the tab on the Beacon USB cable connector to disengage the locking mechanism
- Disconnect the Beacon USB cable from the Beacon sensor as shown
- Set the Beacon sensor and the two M3x6 Low Profile Cap Head Screws aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- Locate the marked connector on the Octopus mainboard within the Electronics Enclosure
- Disconnect the 4028 Part Cooling Fan extension wiring from the Octopus mainboard as shown
- Remove the 4028 Part Cooling Fan extension wiring from the Electronics Enclosure by feeding the end through the marked hole
- The 4028 Part Cooling Fan extension wiring is no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- Pull the following toolhead cables back into the Electronics Enclosure, through the marked hole:
- Toolhead toolboard USB-A to USB-C cable & Toolhead toolboard power cable
- Beacon USB cable
- Disconnect the toolhead toolboard USB-A to USB-C cable from the Raspberry Pi
- Disconnect the Beacon USB cable from the Raspberry Pi
- Remove the fork terminal on the red wire of the toolhead toolboard power cable from the terminal on the power supply. Make sure to refasten the power supply terminal screw after removing the fork terminal
- Remove the fork terminal on the black wire of the toolhead toolboard power cable from the terminal on the power supply. Make sure to refasten the power supply terminal screw after removing the fork terminal
- All three cables are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project
- If you are upgrading a CoreXY or Hybrid variant of the V-Core 4.0, then please continue following the next steps
- If you are upgrading an IDEX variant of the V-Core 4.0, then please repeat step 8, through to step 12 to disconnect all wiring for the second toolhead, then continue following the next steps
- Please note that the IDEX variant does not have a Beacon sensor on the second toolhead, therefore those instructions can be ignored

- Left-hand belt tensioner assembly
- Loosen the lower M4x6 Set Screw to allow the lower tensioner arm to be loosened
- Loosen the lower M4x20 Cap Head Screw until there is slack in the belt
- If you are upgrading a Hybrid or IDEX variant of the V-Core 4.0:
- Loosen the upper M4x6 Set Screw to allow the upper tensioner arm to be loosened
- Loosen the upper M4x20 Cap Head Screw until the upper tensioner arm comes out of the tensioner housing
- Move the tensioner arm over the left side of the Y-axis linear rail and allow it to hang outside of the V-Core 4.0 assembly

- Right-hand belt tensioner assembly
- Loosen the lower M4x6 Set Screw to allow the lower tensioner arm to be loosened
- Loosen the lower M4x20 Cap Head Screw until there is slack in the belt
- If you are upgrading a Hybrid or IDEX variant of the V-Core 4.0:
- Loosen the upper M4x6 Set Screw to allow the upper tensioner arm to be loosened
- Loosen the upper M4x20 Cap Head Screw until the upper tensioner arm comes out of the tensioner housing
- Move the tensioner arm over the right side of the Y-axis linear rail and allow it to hang outside of the V-Core 4.0 assembly
- If you are upgrading a CoreXY variant of the V-Core 4.0, then please skip to step 19
- If you are upgrading a Hybrid or IDEX variant of the V-Core 4.0, then please continue following the next steps
¶ Step 17 - Remove the left-hand hybrid belt mount

- Left-hand hybrid belt mount assembly
- Loosen and remove all three M3x8 Cap Head Screws which secure the hybrid belt mount cap
- Remove the hybrid belt mount cap
- Loosen and remove both M3x12 Cap Head Screws which secure the hybrid belt mount to the X-axis gantry
- Do not remove the hybrid belt from the hybrid belt mount
- Move the hybrid belt mount over the left side of the Y-axis linear rail and allow it to hang outside of the V-Core 4.0 assembly. It will be reinstalled later in the guide
- Set the all three M3x8 Cap Head Screws, both M3x12 Cap Head Screws, and the hybrid belt mount cap aside, they will be needed later in the guide
¶ Step 18 - Remove the right-hand hybrid belt mount

- Right-hand hybrid belt mount assembly
- Loosen and remove all three M3x8 Cap Head Screws which secure the hybrid belt mount cap
- Remove the hybrid belt mount cap
- Loosen and remove both M3x12 Cap Head Screws which secure the hybrid belt mount to the X-axis gantry
- Do not remove the hybrid belt from the hybrid belt mount
- Move the hybrid belt mount over the right side of the Y-axis linear rail and allow it to hang outside of the V-Core 4.0 assembly. It will be reinstalled later in the guide
- Set the all three M3x8 Cap Head Screws, both M3x12 Cap Head Screws, and the hybrid belt mount cap aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- Please note: The following steps detail disconnecting the belt from the CoreXY or Hybrid variant of the V-Core 4.0 toolhead. If you are upgrading an IDEX variant, the process is similar, but must be performed on both toolheads as each toolhead is connected to one belt
- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead Assembly - Front-left side
- M4x10 Countersink Screw
- Loosen and remove the M4x10 Countersink Screw
- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead belt clamp
- Remove the belt clamp
- Pull the belt out of the toolhead, allowing it to hang freely from the X-axis gantry
- The M4x10 Countersink Screw and belt clamp printed part are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead Assembly - Front-right side
- M4x10 Countersink Screw
- Loosen and remove the M4x10 Countersink Screw
- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead belt clamp
- Remove the belt clamp
- Pull the belt out of the toolhead, allowing it to hang freely from the X-axis gantry
- The M4x10 Countersink Screw and belt clamp printed part are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead Assembly - Rear-right side
- M3x35 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove the M3x35 Cap Head Screw
- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead Assembly - Rear-left side
- Previously removed M3x35 Cap Head Screw
- Thread the M3x35 Cap Head Screw into the back-side of the rear belt clamp as shown

- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead Assembly - Rear-left side
- M3x35 Cap Head Screw
- Carefully pull on the M3x35 Cap Head Screw to remove the rear belt clamp from the toolhead assembly as shown
- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead Assembly - Rear-right side
- Pull the belt out of the toolhead, allowing it to hang freely from the X-axis gantry
- The M3x35 Cap Head Screw and rear belt clamp are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- Carefully pull on the M3x35 Cap Head Screw to remove the rear belt clamp from the toolhead assembly as shown
- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead Assembly - Rear-left side
- Pull the belt out of the toolhead, allowing it to hang freely from the X-axis gantry
- The M3x35 Cap Head Screw and rear belt clamp are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- V-Core 4.0 X-axis Gantry - Front-left side
- Pull the marked belt out of the X-axis gantry, allowing it to hang freely from the front tensioner
- V-Core 4.0 X-axis Gantry - Rear-left side
- Pull the marked belt out of the X-axis gantry, allowing it to hang freely from the motor assembly

- V-Core 4.0 X-axis Gantry - Front-right side
- Pull the marked belt out of the X-axis gantry, allowing it to hang freely from the front tensioner
- V-Core 4.0 X-axis Gantry - Rear-right side
- Pull the marked belt out of the X-axis gantry, allowing it to hang freely from the motor assembly

- V-Core 4.0 X-axis Gantry - Left-hand side
- 4x M3x8 Cap Head Screw with Blue Threadlock
- 4x Washer Simple M3 - Black 12.9 Steel
- Loosen and remove all four M3x8 Cap Head Screws and M3 Washers
- Set the all four M3x8 Cap Head Screws and M3 Washers aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- V-Core 4.0 X-axis Gantry - Right-hand side
- 4x M3x8 Cap Head Screw with Blue Threadlock
- 4x Washer Simple M3 - Black 12.9 Steel
- Loosen and remove all four M3x8 Cap Head Screws and M3 Washers
- Set the all four M3x8 Cap Head Screws and M3 Washers aside, they will be needed later in the guide
- Continue to support the X-axis gantry assembly until it has been removed, do not allow it to fall

- V-Core 4.0 Assembly
- X-axis gantry assembly
- Carefully lift the X-axis gantry assembly upwards off of the Y-axis linear rails and then remove it through the upper section on the right-hand side of the V-Core 4.0 as shown
- Rest the X-axis gantry assembly on a work surface, additional disassembly will now be performed

- Please note: Before continuing, make sure that all electrical components have been disconnected from the toolboard. Simply unplug any connectors and remove the hotend heater wires from the screw terminal. Do not cut any wires or remove any crimps at this point
- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead Assembly - Rear
- 4x M3x8 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove all four M3x8 Cap Head Screws
- BIGTREETECH EBB42 Toolboard
- Remove the toolboard
- The M3x8 Cap Head Screws and BIGTREETECH EBB42 toolboard are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- 1x M3x8 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove the M3x8 Cap Head Screw
- Please note: You may need to use a spanner or pliers to prevent the brass hex standoff from rotating whilst removing the M3x8 Cap Head Screw
- The M3x8 Cap Head Screw is no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- 2x M3x35 Cap Head Screw
- Please note: The M3x35 Cap Head Screws are within the two marked holes on the toolboard mount printed part
- Loosen and remove both M3x35 Cap Head Screws
- Rat Rig V-Core 4.0 Toolhead - Toolboard Mount
- Remove the toolboard mount
- The M3x35 Cap Head Screws and toolboard mount are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- 1x LDO Orbiter Assembly
- 2x M3x8 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove both M3x8 Cap Head Screws
- Please note: You may need to remove the LDO Orbiter tensioning thumb-screw to access the right-hand M3x8 Cap Head Screw
- Lift the LDO Orbiter Assembly upwards to remove it from the toolhead
- The LDO Orbiter Assembly is required in the next step
- The M3x8 Cap Head Screws are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- LDO Orbiter Assembly from the previous step
- 1x M3x16 Brass Hex Standoff
- Loosen and remove the M3x16 Brass Hex Standoff from the LDO Orbiter Assembly
- 1x M3 Washer
- Remove the M3 Washer from the LDO Orbiter Assembly
- Set the LDO Orbiter Assembly aside, it will be needed later in the guide
- The M3x16 Brass Hex Standoff and M3 Washer no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- V-Core 4.0 Toolhead Assembly - Left-hand side
- 2x M3x6 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove both M3x6 Cap Head Screws
- 1x Rat Rig Endstop
- Remove the Rat Rig Endstop and set it aside, it will be needed later in the guide
- The M3x6 Cap Head Screws are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- Rat Rig Toolhead - Fan Shroud
- 4x M3x16 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove all four M3x16 Cap Head Screws
- 1x Fan - 40x10 24V - Axial
- Remove the 40x10 24V Fan and set it aside, it will be needed later in the guide
- The M3x16 Cap Head Screws and fan shroud mount are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- 1x PTFE Tube - 24.5mm
- Pull the PTFE tube upwards to remove it from the toolhead
- 4x M2.5x6 Countersink Screw
- Do not use a ball end hex key to loosen and remove these Countersink Screws as they are more prone to damaging the small hex heads
- Phaetus Rapido 2 Hotend Assembly
- Whilst supporting the Rapido 2 Hotend assembly, loosen and remove all four M2.5x6 Countersink Screws
- The M2.5x6 Countersink Screws and the PTFE tube are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project
- Continue to support the Rapido 2 Hotend assembly, do not allow it to fall as this could cause damage to the assembly

- Slowly lower the Rapido 2 Hotend assembly out of the toolhead, rotating it as necessary to allow the cables to come free
- Set the Rapido 2 Hotend Assembly aside, it will be needed later in the guide

- 2x M3x40 Countersink Screw
- Loosen and remove both M3x40 Countersink Screws
- The M3x40 Countersink Screws are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- Rat Rig Toolhead - Front
- Gently pull the front of the toolhead assembly forwards to remove it
- 1x M3x8 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove the M3x8 Cap Head Screw
- The toolhead front and M3x8 Cap Head Screw are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- Rat Rig Toolhead - Part Cooling Duct
- Make sure to support the part cooling duct whilst it is being removed
- 2x M3x16 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove both M3x16 Cap Head Screws
- Pull the part cooling duct forwards to remove it from the toolhead assembly
- The M3x16 Cap Head Screws and part cooling duct are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- Rat Rig Toolhead - 4028 Fan Grille
- 2x M3x35 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove both M3x35 Cap Head Screws
- Remove the 4028 Fan Grille
- The M3x35 Cap Head Screws and part cooling duct are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- Rat Rig Toolhead - Back
- 1x Fan - 40x28 12V - Axial
- 2x M3x35 Countersink Screw
- Whilst supporting the 40x28 Fan and back part of the toolhead, loosen and remove both M3x35 Countersink Screws
- Continue to support the 40x28 Fan and back part of the toolhead, do not allow them to fall

- Rat Rig Toolhead - Back
- 1x Fan - 40x28 12V - Axial
- Gently pull the 40x28 fan backwards from the toolhead assembly to remove it
- Set the 40x28 fan aside, it will be needed later in the guide
- Lower the toolhead back part down and away from the toolhead plate
- The toolhead back part is no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- 1x Rat Rig V-Core 4.0 Toolhead Plate
- 4x M3x6 Countersink Screw
- Whilst supporting the toolhead plate, loosen and remove all four M3x6 Countersink Screws
- Remove the toolhead plate from the linear rail carriage
- The toolhead plate and M3x6 Countersink Screws are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project
- If you are upgrading a CoreXY or Hybrid variant of the V-Core 4.0, then please continue following the next steps
- If you are upgrading an IDEX variant of the V-Core 4.0, then please repeat step 30, through to step 45 to disassemble the second toolhead, then continue following the next steps

- X-axis Assembly from step 45
- Loosen all of the M3x8 Cap Head Screws to release the X-axis linear rail from the gantry assembly
- The exact number of M3x8 Cap Head Screw varies depending on the size of V-Core 4.0 being upgraded
- Remove the X-axis linear rail from the X-axis assembly
- From this point onwards, make sure that the linear rail carriage(s) are not allowed to leave the linear rail
- It may take some slight wiggling of the X-axis linear rail to allow the 2020 T-nuts to come free from the extrusion slot
- Set the X-axis gantry aside until step 49

- X-axis linear rail from the previous step
- M3x8 Cap Head Screws
- 2020 Drop-in T-nuts - M3
- Remove all M3x8 Cap Head Screws and 2020 Drop-In T-nuts from the X-axis linear rail as shown
- Set the X-axis linear rail aside, it will be needed later in the guide
- The M3x8 Cap Head Screws and 2020 Drop-in T-nuts are no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- Please note: If you are upgrading an IDEX variant of the V-Core 4.0, you may need to remove the oozeguard arm to allow removal of the X-axis gantry trim
- X-axis Gantry Assembly - Left-hand side

- 4x M3x8 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove all four M3x8 Cap Head Screws
- Remove the X-axis gantry trim by pulling it downwards
- Set all four M3x8 Cap Head Screws and the X-axis gantry trim aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- Please note: If you are upgrading an IDEX variant of the V-Core 4.0, you may need to remove the oozeguard arm to allow removal of the X-axis gantry trim
- X-axis Gantry Assembly - Right-hand side
- 1x X-axis Gantry Trim Assembly - Right
- 4x M3x8 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove all four M3x8 Cap Head Screws
- Remove the X-axis gantry trim by pulling it downwards
- Set all four M3x8 Cap Head Screws and the X-axis gantry trim aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- X-axis Gantry Assembly - Left-hand side
- 2x M5x8 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove both M5x8 Cap Head Screws
- Set the M5x8 Cap Head Screws aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- X-axis Gantry Assembly - Left-hand side
- 1x M5x30 Low Profile Screw
- Loosen and remove the M5x30 Low Profile Screw
- The M5x30 Low Profile Screw is no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project
- Remove the left XY joiner assembly from the 2020 extrusion by carefully pulling it off
- You may need to wiggle the XY joiner slightly to release it from the 2020 extrusion
- Set the left XY joiner assembly aside until step 58

- X-axis Gantry Assembly - Left-hand side
- 3x 2020 Square T-nut - M5
- Slide all three 2020 square T-nuts out of the 2020 extrusion
- Set all three 2020 square T-nuts aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- X-axis Gantry Assembly - Right-hand side
- 2x M5x8 Cap Head Screw
- Loosen and remove both M5x8 Cap Head Screws
- Set the M5x8 Cap Head Screws aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- X-axis Gantry Assembly - Right-hand side
- 1x M5x30 Low Profile Screw
- Loosen and remove the M5x30 Low Profile Screw
- The M5x30 Low Profile Screw is no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project
- Remove the right XY joiner assembly from the 2020 extrusion by carefully pulling it off
- You may need to wiggle the XY joiner slightly to release it from the 2020 extrusion
- Set the right XY joiner assembly aside until step 63

- X-axis Gantry Assembly - Right-hand side
- 3x 2020 Square Type T-nut - M5
- Slide all three 2020 square T-nuts out of the 2020 extrusion
- Set all three 2020 square T-nuts aside, they will be needed later in the guide
- The 2020 extrusion is no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project

- Depending on when the V-Core 4.0 you are upgrading was originally purchased, you will have one of two different idler pulley designs:
- Rat Rig Heavy Duty Idler Pulley
- Bearing Stack Idler Pulley
- 1x Ball Bearing - 695-2RS
- 2x Ball Bearing - F695-2RS
- The remainder of the guide will only specify the Rat Rig Heavy Duty Idler Pulley in both imagery and written instructions. If you have the Bearing Stack design, just use those instead whilst making sure the stack is correctly assembled

- Left XY joiner assembly from step 52
- 4x Hex Locking Nut - M5
- Loosen and remove all four M5 Hex Locking Nuts
- 1x XY Joiner Lower Plate
- Lift the XY joiner lower plate off of the XY joiner assembly as shown
- Set all four M5 Hex Locking Nuts and the XY joiner lower plate aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- 2x Mini Precision Shim
- 2x Rat Rig Heavy Duty Idler Pulley
- Remove the Mini Precision Shim and the Heavy Duty Idler Pulley from the XY joiner assembly as shown
- 1x XY Joiner Spacer Assembly
- Lift the XY Joiner Spacer Assembly off of the XY joiner assembly as shown
- Set the XY Joiner Spacer Assembly aside until step 62
- Remove the second Heavy Duty Idler Pulley and the Mini Precision Shim from the XY joiner assembly as shown
- Set both Mini Precision Shims and both Heavy Duty Idler Pulleys aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- 1x XY Joiner Middle Plate
- Lift the XY joiner middle plate off of the XY joiner assembly as shown
- 1x XY Joiner Endstop Bumper Assembly
- Lift the XY joiner endstop bumper assembly off of the XY joiner assembly as shown
- Set both the XY joiner middle plate and the XY joiner endstop bumper assembly aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- 1x XY Joiner Upper Plate
- 4x M5x60 Countersink Screw
- Remove all four M5x60 Countersink Screws from the upper XY joiner plate as shown
- Set both the XY joiner upper plate and all four M5x60 Countersink Screws aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- XY Joiner Spacer Assembly from step 59
- 2x Aluminium Spacer 5x8x14mm
- 2x Aluminium Spacer 5x8x27mm
- Remove all four aluminium spacers from the XY joiner spacer assembly as shown
- Please note: It may take a little force to remove the aluminium spacers from the printed part. Make sure you do not damage the spacers
- The XY joiner spacer printed part is no longer required and can be either disposed of, or used for a different project
- Set all four aluminium spacers aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- Right XY joiner assembly from step 55
- 4x Hex Locking Nut - M5
- Loosen and remove all four M5 Hex Locking Nuts
- 1x XY Joiner Lower Plate
- Lift the XY joiner lower plate off of the XY joiner assembly as shown
- Set all four M5 Hex Locking Nuts and the XY joiner lower plate aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- 2x Mini Precision Shim
- 2x Rat Rig Heavy Duty Idler Pulley
- Remove the Mini Precision Shim and the Heavy Duty Idler Pulley from the XY joiner assembly as shown
- 1x XY Joiner Spacer Assembly
- Lift the XY Joiner Spacer Assembly off of the XY joiner assembly as shown
- Set the XY Joiner Spacer Assembly aside until step 67
- Remove the second Heavy Duty Idler Pulley and the Mini Precision Shim from the XY joiner assembly as shown
- Set both Mini Precision Shims and both Heavy Duty Idler Pulleys aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- 1x XY Joiner Middle Plate
- Lift the XY joiner middle plate off of the XY joiner assembly as shown
- 1x XY Joiner Endstop Bumper Assembly
- Lift the XY joiner endstop bumper assembly off of the XY joiner assembly as shown
- Set both the XY joiner middle plate and the XY joiner endstop bumper assembly aside, they will be needed later in the guide

- 1x XY Joiner Upper Plate
- 4x M5x60 Countersink Screw
- Remove all four M5x60 Countersink Screws from the upper XY joiner plate as shown

- XY Joiner Spacer Assembly from step 64
